I'm Lachelle, the Trendy Farmer!
I'm a mom, a wife, country girl, worship leader, lover of Jesus, and a HUGE football fan.
I'm also a farm girl. I was born in Minnesota, learned how to fish and bait my own hook by the time I was 6. I remember vividly my grandma and great grandma sitting on the dock with me telling me that if I want to fish, I gotta learn how to put the worm on and take the fish off the hook. One would probably say I'm pretty independent, Type A personality to the core.
Growing up, my family and I moved around...a lot. We lived in the plains of North Dakota, the Rocky Mountains of Montana, the Coastal valley of Oregon back to the midwest. After I met my husband, we moved back to his "territory", Rhode Island. We enjoyed living by the sea, but we were always drawn to farm life.
We recently moved to Connecticut and purchased a small farm in the Quiet Corner. Country living definitely has its perks. The stars at night shine just a little bit brighter.
WHERE DID THIS ALL START?
As I started to build up my farm, Nigerian Dwarf goats became an interest for me. There are many benefits to having them and plus, they are super cute. I began making soap and realized quickly that this was something I really enjoyed doing! I'm forever grateful to those, who I now call close friends, that took me under their wing and showed me the ropes of goat milk soap making.
So, here I am.
I've started my own small business in hopes that it will continue to grow and expand to not only New England, but to the rest of the country. I'd love to be able to be a beacon for other local businesses and companies to promote their products and their passion for doing what they are doing.
In all of this, I know where my focus and trust needs to be: In Jesus. Where He guides, He will provide.
Thanks for following me along this crazy adventure of mine. I'd love to hear from you and see what you think!
